Fitness – mind/body/exercise $390 billion dollars
Nutrition – healthy eating/weight loss $277 billion dollars
Wellness is defined as the state of being healthy as a result of deliberate effort. As you can see, a lot of people are putting a lot of money into being healthy. Wellness has now become a status symbol and therefore the term wellthy. A wellness mindset is prevalent in the U.S. among middle and upper middle class. The young adult generation termed “Millenials” are also driving social media and marketing trends.

based on their age, this group probably hasn’t built a brand loyalty.
In addition, all across the globe – online sales are increasing. It will be interesting to see what percentage of this year’s holiday sales were online purchases.
